Dr. Karloff had been informed that there would be an intern coming to take a look around the morgue and perhaps assist a bit in the regular goings on. This news had excited Dimitri quite a bit, as interns usually found ways to work around the morgue, leaving the place all but deserted. However, when the Coroner then learned that this mystical intern was visiting that very day. . . he got just a bit anxious.
After making sure that every surface in the morgue was spotless and everything organized to the fullest degree, it was Dr. Karloff's pleasure to decide which corpse to drag out to show the company. After careful deliberation, Dimitri decided on the late Robert Huddleston, who had been a heavy smoker in his living days. It was Dimitri's assumption that the intern would be fascinated to see the internal devastation that smoking wrought on the human body. Not only that, but all the nasty problems caused by cigarette smoke made it a little more challenging to determine the cause of death.
Bouncing on his heels in anticipation, Dimitri looked to the door, waiting for the intern to arrive. Hopefully, whoever-it-was would not have trouble locating the morgue. It would be a shame if one of the few people who had actual interest in the morgue got lost along the way.
[[ooc. Best title ever, huh? Tag, Stefan!]]

(lmao yes)
Stefan had a hard time finding the morgue, since everyone he asked either just...ran away from him or ignored him like he wasn't even there. Made him sad. So when he FINALLY made his way down there, he was pouting and dragging his feet. His hands were in his pockets and he was looking at the floor, he didn't even take them out to open the door, just sort of.....pushed it open with his forhead, walked THROUGH it. He hoped the coroner wouldn't be as mean as everyone else had been. Stefan hadn't done anything to them.
"He...Hello? Anyone here? Mister....er...Doctor..Karloff I think they said?" He called out, not minding that his voice echoed off the walls a bit eerily.

Dimitri heard the door open and his face pulled into a giant involuntary grin. He had company. Company who wanted to be there! Well. . .possibly. Dr. Karloff also knew that he could not neglect the possibility that this Intern simply did not know what he wanted to do and had simply not known any better than to rule the morgue out. Why dead people creeped everyone out, Dimitri hadn't the foggiest idea. They didn't scare him and they never had. (And for now, let us avoid the subject of what sort of things do frighten dear Dr. Karloff.)
When he heard the voice echo down the hallway, Dimitri sang back in a deep, theatrical way -- almost the way one might expect Dracula to deliver lines in the old movies, "IIIIIII am over thiiiiiis vaaaaaay."
This was like a morbid game of Marco Polo, but Dr. Karloff enjoyed every moment of it.

He heard the voice, glad to have found that there was someone living was in there. It's not that Stefan minded corpses, though, but they couldn't exactly direct him in things. Smirking as the man who apparently worked here, Dr. Karloff, cooed creepily from down the hall, he mimicked the voice.
"Und wheeerrrrrrrrree is thiiiiiiiis waaaaaay?" He called back, making his way down the hallway, looking for the source of the voice, grinning.

"You fooooollow voice, you fiiiiiind meeeee," Dimitri called back, wearing a gigantic grin on his face.
He was overjoyed to hear someone actually answer him back. That was a rare occurrence in this particular game. Well. . . it wasn't a rare occurrence to hear a reply to his call, but it was certainly unusual to hear a response that was so. . .happy. Most people were either frightened or frustrated by Dimitri when he did such things. This intern, Dr. Karloff thought, seemed to at least have a sense of humor. That was a point to his credit for certain.

"But mein sense of direeeecccccction is very baaaaaaad......und I do not seeeee you!!" He called a little louder, chuckling to himself. This guy sure had a sense of humor about him. Stefan figured anyone who worked in the morgue probably had to, or else they'd go absolutely insane....or more insane.
Finally, after taking about twelve wrong turns, he found the man, the grin on his face now matching the one in front of him. "Hallo Herr Doktor, You are Doktor Karloff yes?" He said, holding his hand out for this strange looking man to shake.

"Keeep tryyyyyiiiiiiiiing," Dimitri responded, ending in a deep and almost evil-sounding chuckle.
For a moment, the Russian considered turning off the light, just to see how his visitor would react. However, before he could put this thought into action, the intern arrived. Oh well, Dimitri would have other chances to turn lights out in the future. Of this, he was certain.
"I am Doctor Karloff, yes!" Dimitri answered, absolutely beaming. Eagerly, he took Stefan's hand in his and gave him a firm handshake. Not letting go, Dimitri put his left palm on the back of Stefan's right hand and added, "You have name too, yes?"

Finding the man with quite a bit of difficulty, he was relieved to see the man in front of him. Stefan shook the man's hand eagerly, gripping it as tightly as his was being gripped, his grin almost maniacal in nature, eyes opened wide.
"Ja ja!! Of course I have a name!! I am Stefan, Stefan Musiol. I trust you are die Koroner? Or maybe you are someone who has gotten stuck in die morgue?" He laughed, his German accent showing through very thick, having only moved here a few years ago, but he could tell this other man was also not from around here. "Und you....you are from Eastern Europe, ja?"

It was a bit odd for Dimitri to meet a man with a grin as maniacal as his own, but he did not seem to find Stefan unusual in the least. On the contrary, Dimitri was finding Stefan Musiol to be the most grounded person he had met in a good while. So many people did not accept Dr. Karloff's brand of humor and so many people seemed terrified to be in the morgue, but Stefan seemed to be absolutely fine. It was very refreshing for Dimitri to meet a person like this!
As Stefan took his hand in a handshake, Dimitri clapped his left hand over the back of Stefan's, shaking the German's hand in both of his own. As conversation began, Dr. Karloff did not let go of the Intern's hand as he echoed, "Stefan, Stefan Musiol. Stefan Musiol, Stefan Musiol, Stefan Mu-si-ol. - I say this right?"
Shaking Stefan's hand a bit more, Dimitri continued with, "No-no! I am Coroner, yes. Chief Medical Examiner. -- Though, yes I am stuck in morgue very often! I do not mind. Eh? Y-es, yes. Eastern Europe. Russia! Aaaaaaannd you are from somevhere that speaks German? Ja?"

Stefan's smile didn't go away, this person was really interesting! All the rest of the doctors were bland and tame, boring in the most boring of ways. That or they were rude to him. But this guy, this guy was genuinely happy to see him. The pronunciation of his name almost made him laugh, albeit a goodnatured one.
"Ja, ja, you said it right!" His hand was shaken again and he shook in return, noting that this guy was DEFINITELY the coroner, which was good, because that's who he was here to see. This time, he did giggle, a low-pitched, dry giggle, but a giggle nonetheless. It was, as a few friends had said long ago, adorable.
"Da! Mein Russki friend, I am from Deutschland! I lived in Wolfsburg, you know of this place, I'm sure. The Volkswagen plant is there, where die beetles are made! Em, May I take a seat?" He asked, noticing that there was a chair unoccupied other than the big fancy one he deemed to be Dr. Karloff's. Karloff...Karloff....where had Stefan heard that name before?
"You have ein interesting surname, Herr Doktor....Are you related to die famous Karloff who played Frankenstein?"

"Oh good, good!" Dimitri interjected, completely pleased that he had managed to properly pronounce the German's name. Dimitri noted Stefan's adorable little giggle, thinking that it was a great sort of reaction to get. (It was way better to hear cute giggle-laughs than to see eye-rolling or eyebrow-raising!)
"Ah-ah-ah," Dimitri raised his eyebrows and pointed at Stefan, "Careful who you call Russki. Some people are very offended by this!" Dr. Karloff was not, at the moment, offended. He knew that Stefan hadn't meant anything in an ill manner, and so it didn't matter. To show that he wasn't offended, Dimitri gave a good-natured laugh and patted Stefan on the shoulder.
Continuing the chatter along, Dimitri said, "Volfsburg, Volfsbug. Da! Yes. I hear of this place before, I think. Very good, I vill look at it on google later! Eh? Seat? Yes! Yes, yes, do sit. You sit there, I sit here. Very good." Dr. Karloff narrated as he took a seat in his chair, turning to face Stefan properly.
"You know of Boris Karloff, old film actor who plays Frankenstein?!" Dimitri was astounded. He usually told people that he shared a name with a famous actor and usually, that only drew blanks. "No! I have no relation, but I am glad you are knowink who he is!"

Stefan's eyes got big as he tripped over his tongue, whether Dr. Karloff had said he minded or not, he didn't know that calling anyone "russki" was an insult.
"Ach...e...es tut mir...I mean..I am sorry, Herr Doktor....I did not know people were offended by such a term! I will not use it in die future." He was very amused as the older man showed him to his seat and sat as well, making himself like a little narrator of a book in which they were both characters. Stefan sat, snickering at how astounded this man seemed to be that he knew of Boris Karloff."
"Ja, Herr Doktor, I LOVE die old monster films, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, und all die movies they have done. They are some of mein favorite!!" He paused, leaning back and getting comfortable in the chair, "Ja, of course I know who he is! A phenomenal actor he is. So....em. What are eh...I believe I am supposed to be working for you?"

"No vorries, no vorries," Dimitri replied casually, letting Stefan know that he was not offended. "You can call me 'Russki' all that you vant! I do not mind if you do not mean as horrible insult!"
Dimitri took note of the expression of Stefan's face and the fact that the Intern seemed so amused by the act of narrating as they sat. The Russian wore a smile that was seemingly fixed on his face, as he was just so unbelievably happy to have a person like Stefan in his company.
"I am so glad that you are likink of Boris Karloff! I agree, he is very good actor! Unfortunately, he is of no relation to me! You know he vas English and Boris Karloff vas only stage name?"
Dimitri kicked the floor to make his chair wheel to one side so that he could better reach his laptop, which was currently stationed atop a filing cabinet. Humming to himself, Dimitri clacked on the keys for a while before abruptly saying "Villiam Henry Pratt! This is his birth-name! Eh? Vorkink for. . .me-- OH YES! Yes, I have vork for you if you like. You are likink of autopsy, yes? This is good for you?"

Stefan visibly relaxed when the slightly taller man had not gotten offeneded. "Nein, danke, I think I will call you by your name Herr Doktor. I like this idea better, ja!" He said with a grin, getting comfortable in his chair, even though it was not the type of chair most would be comfortable in. The smile this man had on his face was, to say the least, infectious, not that Stefan didn't already smile a lot.
"Ja of course, die old monster movies are die best, Murnau's "Nosferatu" ist mein favorite!!" Pausing though, his smile was momentarily gone as he furrowed his brow, "Hmm...I seem to remember hearing something like this....It started mit a W..." when the Coroner said the triple name, Stefan nearly jumped out of his seat, raising a triumphant hand in the air and striking a dramatic pose.
"JA!! Selbverständlich!! Das ist his name!! Villiam Henry Pratt!!" He repeated the Russian's words, sounding rather similar since in Germany W's were pronounced like V's, and their accents were rather similar even though one was Russian and one was German. He sat back down and grinned, leaning forward and putting his elbows on the desk, setting his chin on his hands and grinned even wider.
"Ja ja, working for you in die autopsy room. I love autopsy....it was a choice between autopsy, und this field, or obstetriks." He gave an involuntary shudder as he thought about that. ew....girl parts.

"Ah, but my name is not Herr Doctor. It is Dimitri. Please to call me this or I vill call you Herr Intern!" Dimitri laughed to himself, thinking he was very funny.
On the subject of William Henry Pratt, Dimitri nodded in eager agreement as Stefan claimed that Nosferatu was his favorite. Oh, Dimitri loved how much he had in common with this intern! When Stefan shouted, jumped up, and struck a pose, Dimitri jerked slightly, startled by the sudden action. However, the grin did not break from his face and he gave a deep chuckle of a laugh, very much amused by Stefan's wild behavior.
"I am not knowink vhat 'selbverständlich' means, but you are veeeeery very funny." Moving right along to the topic of autopsy, Dimitri gave a laugh and replied, "You are makink excellent decision!"
Spotting Stefan's involuntary shudder, Dimitri put on a concerned expression and asked, "You are alright? Is too cold in here, maybe?"
