Nidia's job was to pretty much make sure that everyone does there job and things go well. Right now she could be back some place, kicking back and reading a paper while all was well but she was the kind of person who did not take leave just because it seemed to be okay. She took a seat at the nurse's station to observe and maybe help out with a little work.
There where always some days when it seemed like took much work was coming in. Sure, it was the doctors who did the surgery's and saved the lives but it was the nurses and interns alike that made sure they had there information ready, who made sure the supply room was stocked, and who did anything and everything they where asked to do even when they should not have too.
In all her years at this hospital, Nidia has seen her share of 'you're-below-me' attitude ridden Doctors who never seemed to take a moment to appreciate anything the men and women did around here. But that was long over and she had not seen any one like that in a long time... Now that did not mean they where still around. It just meant she had not seen them.
"Yo Miss Nidia, working hard girl?" Smiled a older male as he passed some paper work her way. Nidia just gave a tired smile and shrugged, "Nah... never." She took the paper work and started looking it over. "You working hard Frank?" The man called Frank shrugged and looked around, "nah... Never." She looked up with what could have been a smile. This was there own little privet joke. He laughed and swatted the top of the station counter. "You take it easy now."
As he started to walk away she called after him, "Always." He called over his shoulder, "I hear ya." She gave a soft chuckle that must have shocked the woman sitting next to her. It was rare that this woman was ever in this good a mood. Nidia looked over the papers once more and passed them over to the girl next to her. "Put this in and seal it." Nidia just told the woman to put the report in the computer and then seal the file. Life was good. She leaned back in her chair a bit, crossed her arms behind her head and watched the people as they passed on by.
[just thought I should make a post in here. once more... feel free to stop in and say hi.]
